4 oranges
1/2 cup (60 gr) Raisins
1/4 cup (50 gr) sugar
1 cup (230 cc) Marsala wine
1/2 cup (60 gr) sliced almond, lightly toasted
Peel and slice the oranges (or wedge them) eliminating the white peel.
Just before serving spread the top with the sliced, toasted almonds.
Add the raisins, sugar and marsala wine. Place in the refrigerator to marinate for about 2 hours.
Raisins, almonds, oranges and Marsala wine.... This very simple recipe is not among the traditional Sicilian dishes, but has all the Sicilian ingredients. Refreshing, flavorful and very easy to prepare is ideal at the end of a fall dinner.
