FAGIOLINI CON LA CIPOLLA

Green Beans with Onion
Add the green beans, salt and pepper, and sauté for about 5 minutes. Serve lukewarm.
1 lb (450 gr) tender green beans
4 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 medium onion, finely diced
salt and pepper
Wash the green beans and then clean them eliminating the extremities.

Fill a stockpot with water and bring to boil. Add a pinch of salt, the green beans, and boil for about 5 to 10 minutes, or until the green beans will be tender. Drain in a colander.

In a skillet put the olive oil, and turn the heat to medium. Add the onion and sauté until tender and translucent.
