Spectacular fruit-tart topped with cream and multicolor rings of with assorted fresh fruit.

The celebration of Carnival ends on Mardi Gras (French for "Fat Tuesday"). Nowadays many traditions are vanished and changed, but fried pastries are still the protagonist of the Fat Tuesday cookery.

Cookies
There is an infinite variety of cookies for any taste. If you are an expert baker here you will find some classic and some new recipes. If you are a beginner, cookies are the ideal place to start, because most of them are easy to make and everyone, (but especially kids,) like them.
Rolled up to resemble a croissant, they can be filled in different ways, but the traditional recipe calls more frequently for apricot jam and ground almonds.
Ruth Wakefield “invented” them in 1939 at “The Toll House Inn” of Whitman, Massachusetts. Since then Chocolate Chip Cookies are the favorite choice among kids and cookie lovers.
New Step-by-step Recipes
Traditional in Roman Catholic countries, the Carnival is not celebrated or even known in many countries of other faiths. The celebration of Carnival ends on the famous Mardi Gras (French for "Fat Tuesday"). With Carnival approaching, I am proposing two recipes of fried pastries, the protagonist food of the Fat Tuesday cookery.
In this issue you will also find something everyone likes: Cookies! Some of them are classic recipes, and some are just cookies I like. Simple to make, cookies appeal the expert baker and the beginner alike.

Rugelach, (or Rugulach, as there are many ways to spell the name) is a scrumptious bite-size cookie of eastern European Jewish tradition.
You like to bake chocolate cookies? You will love chocolate sandwich cookies. Filled with chocolate-cream these cookies are soft and literally melt in your mouth. Give them a hearth shape for Valentine’s day or round for any other occasion.
Simple and fun to make, these small chocolate cookies, are baked in a hearth shape for Valentine’s day, but can be cut in any shape you like.
