Meeawwooo.... Hi there, I am the Lion King... just kidding...

My name is Micio, is pronounced “Mee-Chow”, I am an ARISTOCAT and I live with Anna Maria.  In reality .... but don’t say it to anybody .... they don’t want people to know .... you know what I mean... I am the boss. Oh yea, I am the big boss. I own this place, I own the furniture, I own the people, and everybody treats me like a royalty.

Cooking for my Cat
An Easy recipe for cat lovers.
Meawwwoooo.... First of all let me say....
I don’t think anybody can deny it.... Ahem...
I am the most handsome cat in town...

On this picture you can see me hard at work, testing the new armchair.

I know they bought it with me in mind.
How do I know? Hehe, don’t you see?...
I blend perfectly with the color.

So I decided to take possession of this armchair, make it my throne and from now on, nobody else can use it but me

Testing sofas and armchairs is a hard work, and I take it seriously...
What can I say....  It’s cat’s life...
Cat’s gotta do what cat’s gotta do.
I know, I know... I am a little spoiled, just a little.... but I deserve it, don’t I?

The guy that lives here, what’s his name.... yea .... that Pietro guy, he always complains that he would like to be treated at least like me.

Oh yeah... dream on....

I heard him whining the other day about this. He was saying that when he comes back from the office after a day at work he is greeted with just an “Hello”.

And me... Well... When I come back from the terrace, where I tested the rattan chair all day, I am greeted with kisses, hugs, and... oh yea... she does all the kids voices for me...  So cute...
I like classic and opera ... I am an ARISTOCAT, remember?

I really dislike rock, rap and other loud stuff, you put on that music and I head for the bedroom...

By the way, here I am testing the sofa...

As I was saying, if you have a cat, if you are a cat lover, we know you would do anything for him. It is somewhat difficult to understand for those who don’t have a pet, but this little creatures become part of the family.

Feeding your pet is an important responsibility, and giving your cat canned food all the time is like for you to eat fast food all the time: It’s not good for his health.

My cat is on a special “dry food” diet, but he also loves fish. So, to make him happy I cook for him some cod. He loves cod; don’t even try to give him orange roughy or tilapia. The fish would be left in the plate. Cod is what he wants. Here is a very simple recipe you can cook for your cat, using fresh or frozen fish.
If you have a cat .... I correctly wrote “have” a cat and not “own” a cat. Every cat “owner” knows that you never really “own” a cat....
In a shallow pan put about 1 inch of water and bring it to a boil. Place in the pan 2 cod fillets.
Cook until the cod is tender. Cool to room temperature. Keep the cooking water with the fish. This will prevent the fish from drying and the cat likes it.
Cats hate hot food. Cool the fish to room temperature before feeding it to your cat.

When the fish is lukewarm, you can transfer the rest of the fish to a plastic container and refrigerate. It will last for a few days. My cat loves fish, and he will stand in front of the refrigerator to remind me when is fish time!

While we wait for the fish to cool, let’s have a talk to Micio Himself....

Introducing Micio
WOW, that was a good lunch. She is a great personal chef. I highly recommend her, you can trust me.

Aaahhhh... Now I really need a nap.  I’ll go back to work and test this nice carpet.

Seeya....
Now the fish is lukewarm and is time to eat. Cut the fish in small pieces, and add some of the cooking water: Micio loves it.
